4G Series

Our mission is to be and make growing followers of Jesus Christ. What is a growing follower of Jesus? We define it with four G’s: a person who has received God’s GRACE, who is GROWING in their faith, who GIVES of themselves to God’s design and who GOES to share the gospel with the world.

January 7 | Grace | Romans 5; Ephesians 2:1-10

The first step in becoming a growing follower of Jesus is to experience God’s grace. Grace is the unearned favor of God on your life.  It’s the gift of life he offers to people who don’t deserve it...which is all of us. If you have experienced personal failure in your life, grace is exactly what you need. To prepare, read Romans 5 and Ephesians 2:1-10.

January 14 | Grow | Psalm 119

The second step in becoming a growing follower of Jesus is found in growing your faith.  How do I increase in my understanding of God?  How does God take me to the “next level” in every area of my life, family, relationships, work and even how I play?  To prepare, read Psalm 119.

January 21 | Give | Proverbs 3:9-10

When I’m a growing follower of Jesus, I’m doing more than just reading the Bible and going to church.  Like an athlete who strengthens and improves the body by using it often, so the follower of Jesus grows in passion and progress by generously giving.  But giving is more than just a financial offering.  Giving means serving with all the resources God has entrusted to you.  Your time has value.  Your abilities have value.  And yes, your money has value.  In all of these, the growing follower of Jesus gives generously.  To prepare, read Proverbs 3:9-10

January 28 | Go | Matthew 28:16-20; Acts 1:8

This is where following Jesus goes full circle.  Jesus told His followers to GO...tell others, train others, make followers of others.  We have the privilege of introducing people to the grace we have experienced.  This is the call of every Christ-follower.  To prepare, read Matthew 28:16-20 and Acts 1:8.
